| A Photoshop Tutorial
In this tutorial on how to add a watermark to your image, you will end up with the following on your image. This will let everyone know that your image is copyrighted. This watermark tutorial is made for Photoshop 7.0.
Moving on. Step 1: Open the image that you want to add the visible copyright watermark to. Step 2: Click on the Horizontal Type Tool.
Step 3: Choose a place to type your copyright message to watermark. I chose "© 2007 www.ayfoto.com". You can type whatever you like for your message. (If you have a Windows keyboard with the number pad as a separate set, you can press Alt+0169 to get the copyright symbol. So, you would be pressing and holding down the Alt button while pushing the numbers one after the other. This is a handy shortcut for the copyright symbol if you don't feel like copying and pasting from the symbols menu or the character map (well, I usually don't feel like doing that . . . ).)
Step 4: Finish typing your copyright message. To move it around, move your mouse anywhere on the image where you don't have text and you can click and drag to move your text around. Once you've found a suitable place for your watermark, click the green checkmark near the top of your screen to ok your text. Step 5: Now if you go to your Layers window, change the fill of the text layer to 0%. The text will disappear at this point, but don't worry, you'll see your watermark after a few more steps.
Step 6: Right click on the text layer by right clicking somewhere on the blue but not on the layer description.
Step 7: Choose Blending Options.
Step 8: Check Bevel and Emboss. Once you get the hang of the process, you can play around with the settings in this window for different ways of showing your watermark.
Step 9: Click OK and you should now have your watermark. |
